Y1 visit to Painshill Park

On Monday 6th June Year One ventured into the open landscape of Painshill Park in search of treasure! Dressed as pirates for the day, the children took part in led activities in the morning and a treasure hunt in the afternoon. Pirate Adam led the children in six activities, ranging from collecting items for a treasure island, to completing a course blind-folded with the aid of their partner, to making monster faces in the earth. After a well earnt lunch the children were ready to go out again, in search of the treasure they had been promised. With clues, guiding them around the beautiful landscape gardens, using their senses to discover, the treasure was finally found, but alas, the bandits had been already! A further treasure lay hidden by the final bridge. The day was saved, the children exhausted and the pirate sailed off for another adventure…..
