Inspection Reports

The Independent Schools Inspectorate is a government approved independent inspectorate for independent schools, quality assured on behalf of the Department for Education. This remit extends to independent schools which are full members of the associations which form the Independent Schools Council.

The Head Teacher of The Study School is a member of the Independent Schools Association (ISA).

The most recent report was undertaken in November 2022, it was a Focused Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection.  Please find the inspection report here along with the letter from the headteacher explaining its findings here.

Following on from our November 2022 inspection, an unannounced visit took place in September 2023. We are delighted to say the inspectors found all the standards were met and no further action was required. You can download the report here.

Key findings summarise that:

  • Pupils of all ages exhibit very strong moral development which is reflected in the high standards of their behaviour.
  • Year 5 & 6 pupils show high levels of confidence and skills in a range of subject areas thanks to the high expectations, questioning and opportunity to extend their thinking through open-ended activities.
  • Pupils, including the youngest children, demonstrate excellent communication skills. They enjoy learning and participate enthusiastically in lessons.
  • In the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) (Nursery & Reception) progress is excellent.
